What do you actually do in sessions with clients?

In our first session, you will be asked to share about your cancer diagnosis or that of your loved one and your experience so far. Together, we will identify the specific areas where you are struggling the most emotionally and put together a plan for what our future sessions will focus on.

In subsequent sessions, we will target the issues we identified and explore all possible ways to address them. You will learn tools that will help you cope when things feel uncertain so that you can stay centered, focused, and take one day at a time.

Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?

There may be assignments to complete between sessions such as a writing exercise or task to carry out aligned with your goals. This is aimed at helping you further benefit from things discussed in the session. If you are not able to complete the assignment, please do not let this keep you from coming to your next session.
