Grief Coaching at the Center for Psycho-Oncology Care offers a compassionate, steady, and nonjudgmental space for individuals navigating loss in its many forms.
Guided by Dr. Caroline Cárdenas, this process supports clients in making sense of grief’s emotional, physical, and spiritual impact—whether the loss is recent or long-standing, anticipated or sudden.
In these sessions, grief is honored as a natural and deeply human response to loss, not something to “get over” but something to integrate into the ongoing story of one’s life.
Clients are invited to explore their unique experience of grief, name the emotions that arise, and discover personal pathways to resilience, self-care, and meaning-making. Each conversation is held with cultural sensitivity, deep listening, and respect for the client’s pace and readiness.
Drawing from grief-informed practices, affective neuroscience, somatic awareness, and ritual, Dr. Caroline tailors each session to the individual, offering tools and perspectives that help transform grief into an enduring connection with what—and who—has been lost. While Grief Coaching is not psychotherapy, it provides a safe and supportive environment to navigate the landscape of loss with intention and care.
At the Center for Pyscho-Oncology Care, we view grief as a testament to love. In walking alongside our clients, we hold space for both sorrow and remembrance—helping each person carry forward the threads of connection, legacy, and hope into the chapters that lie ahead.
